The PDF Pass buys two things. First, it removes the one-a-day limit on the printable sheets produced by the free tools on this site — chord voicings, scales, arpeggios, harmonic analysis and the standards library. Second, it unlocks the triad pair finder, which is the one tool here that is not on the free tier. That is the whole of it: no other tools, no extra content, and none of the books.
The other tools are free and stay free, with or without a pass. Searching them is unlimited for everybody, and pressing Ctrl+P prints the page for everybody. Apart from the triad pair finder, the pass is about the built, laid-out sheet and nothing else.
USD 4.99, once. There is no subscription and no renewal. The sale is made through Gumroad, which is the seller of record: Gumroad takes the payment, issues the receipt, and handles whatever sales tax or VAT applies where you are. Their terms govern the transaction itself.
Immediate. Gumroad shows your licence key as soon as the payment goes through and emails you a copy. To use it: come back to any tool, press Print / Save PDF, choose I have a key, and paste it in.
One key activates up to five devices — a phone, a laptop, a tablet on the music stand. The key is for your own use and is not for resale or for sharing publicly. Once five activations are used, a sixth will be refused; if you genuinely ran out because you changed machines, write and it will be sorted.
Fourteen days, no reason needed. Write to the address below or request it through Gumroad and the money goes back. Digital goods delivered instantly are often sold without any right of return at all; that is not how this is sold.
A refunded key stops working. The site re-checks keys against Gumroad periodically, so a pass on a refunded purchase is withdrawn when that check next runs. Nothing you already printed is affected.
The key does not expire. There is no renewal date and no way for it to lapse on its own.
Said honestly, because the word “lifetime” deserves it: no website can promise to exist forever, and this one is run by one person. What is promised is that the key will not be time-limited, that the pass will not be turned into a subscription later, and that if the tools were ever to be discontinued, buyers would be told rather than finding out by clicking.
Write to niels@nielsdalgaard.com with the key and what happened. A key that will not activate is a bug on this side until proven otherwise, and it gets fixed or refunded.
